জ্ঞান ও ত্যাগের আদর্শ: মুফতি মুজাহিদ উদ্দিন দুবাগী (রহ.)

হযরত আল্লামা মুফতি মুজাহিদ উদ্দিন চৌধুরী দুবাগী (রহঃ): তিনি জ্ঞান ও ত্যাগের মর্যাদায় এই যুগের মানুষের জন্য এক আদর্শ হয়ে থাকবেন।মাওলানা মুহাম্মদ সিদ্দিকুর রহমান চৌধুরীবিখ্যাত ইসলামী চিন্তাবিদ, ইসলামী আইন বিশেষজ্ঞ, আল্লামা মুফতি মুহাম্মদ মুজাহিদ উদ্দিন চৌধুরী দুবাগী (রহমতুল্লাহি আলাইহি)-এর ইন্তেকাল ব্রিটিশ আলেম সমাজ এবং সাধারণ মানুষের জন্য একজন ধর্মীয় অভিভাবককে হারানোর মতো। এই ৯১ বছর বয়সী বিশেষজ্ঞ আলেম ব্রিটেনের বাঙালি বা বাংলাদেশীদের জন্য গর্বের উৎস ছিলেন। তিনি ছিলেন ধর্মের একজন প্রবীণ আলেম, যিনি জ্ঞান ও কর্মের অনুশীলনে এক উজ্জ্বল দৃষ্টান্ত ছিলেন। ব্রিটেনে বসবাসকারী উলামা সমাজে যাঁর অবস্থান ছিল শীর্ষে। তিনি অনেকের কাছে একজন উকিল এবং সরাসরি উকিলের মতো ছিলেন।আমি ২০০১ সালে ইংল্যান্ডে চলে আসি এবং আমি লুটনে থাকি। আমি আমার শ্বশুর মহুদায়কে 'লেস্টারের সাহেব' সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞাসা করেছিলাম। তখনও আমি জানতাম না যে তিনি তাঁর শিক্ষক ছিলেন। আমার শ্বশুর মাওলানা ক্বারী আব্দুল কাদির সাহেবের কাছে সিলেটের একটি ঐতিহ্যবাহী ধর্মীয় শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান সাতপুর দারুল হাদিস কামিল মাদ্রাসায় লেস্টারের সাহেব শিক্ষক হিসেবে পড়তেন। তিনি তাঁকে ফোন করেছিলেন। এই প্রথম আমি লেস্টারের সাহেবের সাথে কথা বলি। তারপর থেকে লেস্টারের সাহেব আমার সাথে যোগাযোগ রেখেছেন। আমি তাঁকে একজন দয়ালু, উদার, জ্ঞানী আলেম এবং ধর্মীয় শিক্ষক হিসেবে পেয়েছি।বাংলাদেশে আমার কর্মস্থল ঢাকায় মাসিক ‘পারওয়ানা’ পত্রিকার সম্পাদক থাকাকালীন (১৯৯২-২০০১), আমি ইংল্যান্ডের সেই শ্রদ্ধেয় আলেমটির নাম খুব ভালোভাবেই জানতাম। বিশেষ করে ‘পারওয়ানা’-র সম্পাদক সাহেবজাদা মাওলানা হুশাম উদ্দিন চৌধুরী ফুলতলী এবং সাহেব পরিবারের অন্যান্যদের মাধ্যমে, যাদের সাথে ইংল্যান্ডের বিষয়াদির ব্যাপারে আমার যোগাযোগ ছিল, তাদের মুখে যে নামটি সবচেয়ে বেশি উচ্চারিত হতো তা হলো ‘লেস্টারের সাহেব’। লোকেরা তাকে ‘লেস্টারের সাহেব’ নামেই চিনত। তার প্রধান কর্মস্থল ছিল ইংল্যান্ডের লেস্টারে। তিনি লেস্টারের দারুস সালাম মসজিদের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা ও খতিব ছিলেন। তৎকালীন মহান সাধক, হযরত আল্লামা ফুলতলী সাহেব কিবলা রহমতুল্লাহি আলাইহি, ছিলেন তার শায়খ ও ওস্তাদ। তিনি ইংল্যান্ডে তার শ্রদ্ধেয় শায়খের প্রতিনিধিত্ব করতেন ‘খলিফা-এ-ফুলতলী’ হিসেবে। এই সম্মান ও মর্যাদাপূর্ণ দায়িত্ব তাঁকে এক বিশিষ্ট অবস্থানে উন্নীত করেছিল। তাঁর জ্ঞানের গভীরতা ইংল্যান্ডের সকল মাযহাব ও চিন্তাধারার আলেম ও গণ্যমান্য ব্যক্তিদের মধ্যে তাঁকে অনন্য করে তুলেছিল। তিনি তাঁর নিজ সম্প্রদায়ের কাছে 'লেস্টারের সাহেব' এবং সারা বিশ্বের আলেমদের কাছে 'আল্লামা সাহেব' নামে পরিচিত ছিলেন।'আল্লামা মুজাহিদ উদ্দিন চৌধুরী দুবাগী সাহেব ইন্তেকাল করেছেন', আমি ভাবতে থাকলাম, আল্লাহ যে তাঁর প্রিয় বান্দা, ধর্মের এই আলেমকে পৃথিবী থেকে তুলে নিয়ে পৃথিবীকে জ্ঞানশূন্য করে দেবেন, তার সর্বোত্তম প্রমাণ আমার চোখের সামনেই। আমার কিছু বয়স্ক ও শ্রদ্ধেয় আত্মীয়কে খবরটা জানানোর তাগিদ অনুভব করলাম। এ কথা শুনে আল্লাহর বান্দারা ব্যথিত কণ্ঠে বললেন, 'হায়! আমরা একজন অভিভাবককে হারালাম, আমরা একজন নির্ভরশীল ধর্মীয় অভিভাবককে হারালাম।' অনেকেই এও বললেন, 'ইংল্যান্ডে বসবাসকারী আলেমদের মধ্যে তিনিই সবচেয়ে বেশি কাজ করেছেন।' যারা তাঁকে দীর্ঘদিন ধরে দেখেছেন এবং তাঁর কার্যকলাপ প্রত্যক্ষ করেছেন, তাদের মূল্যায়নে, 'তিনি সুন্নি ইসলামের এক শক্তিশালী স্তম্ভ ছিলেন।' আগামী কয়েক দশক ধরে ইংল্যান্ডের মাটিতে তাঁর শিক্ষা ও জ্ঞান দ্বারা ধন্য মানুষের সংখ্যা কম হবে না।তিনি ছিলেন এমন একজন আলেম, যাঁর কর্মময় জীবন সত্যিই মানুষের জন্য এক আদর্শ হয়ে উঠেছিল। কর্মক্ষেত্রে, বাড়িতে বা ভ্রমণে, যেখানেই হোক না কেন, তাঁর জীবন এবং আন্তরিক সৎকর্মের দৃষ্টান্ত অবিচল গাম্ভীর্যে উদ্ভাসিত ছিল। তিনি যে তপস্বী জীবনধারা লালন ও অনুসরণ করতেন, তা তাঁর পরিবার ও আত্মীয়-স্বজনের দৈনন্দিন আচরণকে সৌন্দর্যে রূপান্তরিত করেছিল। যাঁরা তাঁকে খুব কাছ থেকে দেখেছেন, তাঁদের খাঁটি ও নির্মল স্বীকারোক্তি আমাকে বলতে বাধ্য করে যে, তিনি অভ্যন্তরীণ ও বাহ্যিকভাবে ধার্মিকতার এমন এক আদর্শের প্রতিমূর্তি ছিলেন, যা কেবল সাধারণ মানুষই নয়, বহু আলেম এবং দায়িত্বশীল 'হযরত'ও আদর্শ হিসেবে গ্রহণ করতেন।অনেক সময়, জটিল বা দুরূহ মানবিক গুণাবলী অনেক সৌন্দর্যকে আবৃত করে ফেলে। সর্বোত্তম গুণ হলো একজন ব্যক্তির খাঁটি ও আন্তরিক সরলতা—আল্লামা দুবাগী ছিলেন এমন গুণসম্পন্ন একজন ব্যক্তি, যিনি সরল ব্যক্তিত্বে পরিপূর্ণ ছিলেন। তাঁর সম্পর্কে তাঁর অনুরাগীরা যে কথাগুলো ইতিমধ্যেই বলতে শুরু করেছেন - তিনি ছিলেন একজন সরল, জ্ঞানী মানুষ এবং তাঁর ঈশ্বরও ছিলেন সরল; আমরা একজন অতিথিপরায়ণ, উদার এবং স্নেহশীল শিক্ষককে হারিয়েছি; একজন পরিশ্রমী, জ্ঞানী এবং প্রতিভাবান ব্যক্তি আমাদের ছেড়ে চলে গেছেন; তিনি একজন নির্ভরযোগ্য আলেম এবং দ্বীন হিসেবে মানুষের কাছে অত্যন্ত গ্রহণযোগ্য ছিলেন; সুবহানাল্লাহ! আল্লাহর কাছে গ্রহণযোগ্যতা বা কবুল হওয়ার প্রমাণ হিসেবে মুমিনদের এই অনুশীলনই কি একজন ব্যক্তির জীবনের সর্বোচ্চ অর্জন নয়!এটা আক্ষরিক অর্থেই সত্য যে আমি বা আমরা তাঁর পুরোপুরি কাছাকাছি যেতে পারিনি। তিনি সব বয়সের ও স্তরের আলেমদের সঙ্গ পছন্দ করতেন। আমাদের মতো তরুণদের সাথে, যারা বয়স ও জ্ঞানে অনেক আলাদা ছিল, আলোচনায় বসলে তিনি বার্ধক্যের বোঝা এবং শারীরিক দুর্বলতা ভুলে যেতেন। অনেকের মতো আমিও ব্যথা ও দুঃখের ভারে অভিভূত হয়েছিলাম এবং এই মর্মান্তিক সংবাদের ভয়াবহ আঘাতে বিদ্ধ হয়েছিলাম। অনেকে হয়তো বলবেন যে তিনি মারা গেছেন।Hazrat Allama Mufti Mujahid Uddin Chowdhury Dubagi (RA): He will remain an example for the people of this era in the status of knowledge and sacrifice.Maulana Muhammad Siddiqur Rahman ChowdhuryThe passing away of the renowned Islamic thinker , Islamic law expert , Allama Mufti Muhammad Mujahid Uddin Chowdhury Dubagi Rahmatullahi Alaihi ' is like losing a religious guardian for the British scholar community and the general public. This 91-year-old expert scholar was a source of pride for the Bengalis or Bangladeshis of Britain. A senior scholar of religion who was a shining example in the practice of knowledge and deeds . Whose position was at the top in the Ulama community living in Britain. He was like a master and a direct master to many.I just moved to England in 2001 , and I'm based in Luton. I asked my father-in-law Mahuday about ' Lester's Saheb ' . Even then I did not know that he was his teacher. My father-in-law Maulana Qari Abdul Qadir Saheb had Lester's Saheb as a teacher at the Satpur Darul Hadith Kamil Madrasa, a traditional religious school in Sylhet. He called him. This was the first time I spoke to Lester's Saheb. Since then, Lester's Saheb has been in touch with me. I found him to be a kind-hearted, generous, wise scholar and religious teacher.During my time as editor of the monthly Parwana magazine in Dhaka, my workplace in Bangladesh (1992-2001), I knew the name of the respected scholar of England very well , especially through the editor of Parwana, Sahebzada Maulana Husham Uddin Chowdhury Fultali and others of the Saheb family , whose connection or contact I had with the affairs of England , the name that was most often mentioned in their mouths was ' Leicester's Saheb ' . People knew him as ' Leicester's Saheb ' . His primary place of work was in Leicester , England . He was the founder and Khatib of the Darus Salam Mosque in Leicester. The great saint of the time, Hazrat Allama Fultali Saheb Qiblah Rahmatullahi Alaihi, was his Shaykh and Ustad. He represented his respected Shaykh in England as ' Khalifa-e-Fultali ' . This honor and prestigious responsibility elevated him to a prominent position. The depth of his knowledge made him unique among the scholars and dignitaries of all the schools and schools of thought in England. He was known to his own people as ' Leicester's Sahib ' and to the scholars of all the world as ' Allama Sahib ' .' Allama Mujahid Uddin Chowdhury Dubagi Saheb has passed away ', I kept thinking , the best proof that Allah will make the earth devoid of knowledge by removing His beloved servant, the scholar of religion, from the earth is before my eyes. I felt the urge to tell some of my elderly and respected relatives the news. Hearing this, the servants of Allah said in a pained voice , ' Ah! We have lost a guardian , we have lost a dependent religious guardian. ' Many even said , ' Among the scholars living in England, he has done the most work. ' In the assessment of those who have seen him for a long time and witnessed his activities , ' He was a strong pillar of Sunni Islam. ' For several decades, the number of people blessed by his teaching and education in the land of England will not be less.He was a scholar whose active life truly became an example to the people . Whether it was at work, at home or while traveling , his life and example of sincere good deeds were radiant with consistent seriousness. The ascetic life style that he cherished and followed , turned the daily behavior of his family and relatives into beauty. The genuine and pure confessions of people who saw him very closely compel me to say that he embodied such an example of piety , both internally and externally, that not only ordinary people but also many scholars and responsible ' Hazrats' would take as an example.Many times, complex or complicated human qualities obscure many beauties. The most excellent quality is the genuine and sincere simplicity of a person - Allama Dubagi was a person with such qualities , who was full of uncomplicated individuality. The sayings about him that his admirers have already started practicing - He was a simple, wise man with a simple God ; We have lost a hospitable , generous , and affectionate teacher ; A diligent, knowledgeable, and talented person has departed from us ; He was extremely acceptable to people as a reliable scholar and deen ; Subhanallah! Isn't this practice of believers as a proof of acceptance or acceptance by Allah the supreme achievement in a person's life!It is literally true that I or we could not get close to him fully . He loved to keep the company of scholars of all ages and levels. He would forget the burden of old age and the lack of physical fitness when he would sit in discussion with young people like us who were very different in age and knowledge. Like many, I too was overwhelmed by the burden of pain and sorrow , and was struck by the terrible blow of the tragic news. Many may say that he passed away at a ripe old age , but alas! We have lost a high-level scholar of religion , a pious elder and guardian of Allah , we have lost Allama Mujahid Uddin Chowdhury Dubagi Saheb ; who will remain an example and example for the people of this time in the status of knowledge and sacrifice.He was born in 1929 in Dubagh village of Biani Bazar police station in Sylhet district, Bangladesh. He studied under the renowned scholars of that time , Muhaddisin and Faqeeh Muhaqqiq Ustads. During his career, he set an example of his wisdom and talent through teaching as a Muhaddisin and Faqeeh. Many of his students, Muhaddisin , Mufassir and Faqeeh are still serving in the spread of education in Bangladesh and outside Bangladesh. He started his career in Britain as the Khatib of Darus Salam Mosque in Leicester city in 1978. He made his muqtadi , musalli and the mosque-centered people so wise by teaching and educating them on daily matters that it is said that after coming in contact with all these people , even the Ulama Keram of different languages ​​started to have a high opinion of him. Even during his student life, his amazing ability in reading books made him the center of discussion among teachers and students of his time. His outstanding work in Britain is reflected in many valuable books written in different languages ​​on various subjects. This Bengali-speaking expert scholar, who has made an outstanding contribution not only to the Muslims living in Britain , but also to all classes of people through his valuable writings. We can mention a few of his written books at this stage: Manasul Mufti (Urdu) , Al Masailunnadirah , Fatwa-e -Mujahidiya , Milad-e-Benazir , Hajj and Ziyarat at a Glance , Regarding Orphans , Guide to Virtue , Fatiha and Ziyarat Masail , Important Masails of Sunnah and Nafl Prayers , The Greatness of Dua , Bengali Translation of Manasul Mufti , Miscellaneous Masails , Information on Kadam Bushi , It is Mustahab to make Dua after Janaza Prayer , Significance of Shab-e-Qadr , Faday-e-Shab-e-Barat , Shifa-e-Ruh , Questions and Answers, etc.He was an exemplary scholar of the Bengali-speaking community living in Britain , who remained awake and kept the people awake through his writings. Apart from publishing books, his much-needed fatwas, which were disseminated in a simple presentation on various social and religious issues, were like a guide for the community. Despite his involvement in various religious services, by keeping himself busy in writing books, Allama Dubagi (RA) not only made a beneficial contribution to the society and the nation , but also was able to set an example of single-minded study in his work and skills. With what beautiful and deep vision, Allama Muhammad Iqbal Rahmatullahi Alaihi has highlighted the single-mindedness behind the vastness of the work of a writer , poet or Musannif:" Be Attar , be Rumi ,Be pleased , be Ghazali ;Don't be shy."Oh, the desert is beautiful. "( The Sufi Emperor Attar ,Be a world-loving Rumi ,Be it the great sage Razi or Ghazali ,No such creative hand has come ,Who spent a sleepless, dangerous night and did not wake up at dawn.)' A scholar of religion is like a star in the sky for society and nation ' - the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said this in a saying. A scholar like a star will be a role model for society and nation. This saying of the Holy Prophet also says - ' Just as sailors in the dark of the night look for directions by looking at the stars , similarly people get the right direction from a scholar. ' In the light of the saying of the Holy Prophet, that scholar will be a more worthy scholar , a great scholar , and people will observe an example of piety and piety in the practice of his deeds and customs . The scholar's own life must surpass the presented standards of acceptability , and the specific matters related to his field cannot be avoided in judging the purity , that must be ensured. In our time, the characteristics of a person who is called a ' great scholar ' are often determined by the glitter of fame. When purity and soundness are going to be determined in terms of thinness , why can't the definition of ' big ' be specialized in terms of ' smallness ' ? In this context, I am reminded of some significant statements by one of our respected scholars. Allama Wajih Uddin Lakshmipuri, Shaykhul Hadith of Madrasa-e-Alia Dhaka, was telling us such words in the first day of Bukhari Sharif class, while discussing in depth the knowledge , Ulama and the specialty , history and tradition of Madrasa-e-Alia Dhaka , which I still feel the sharp , deep impact of the words I heard sitting among more than three hundred students twenty-seven years ago . His words were delivered like a teacher , guardian and expert doctor at the same time. That is, you have no choice but to listen and obey - his words were presented in such a way that they were confirmed. First, he spoke about the soundness of faith. In his words , ' You have come to read Hadith Sharif , so... There is no way without correcting the creed. ' After that, he said , about the importance of knowledge and the responsibility of the scholar. Finally, the historical importance and characteristics of Madrasa-e-Alia Dhaka as an educational institution. At this stage, he continued by showing the bench , table , teacher's chair and desk of our classroom , " I also sat on this bench and took a class one day , and the renowned Muhaddith Mufti-e-Azam Hazrat Amimul Ihsan Mujaddidi Barakati Rahmatullahi Alaihi was sitting in the teacher's seat. I never thought that one day I would sit in his seat and teach the students sitting like me. He was a great scholar of that time , a very great scholar! Now people call us great scholars ; and one day they will call you great scholars too! And people will use the wood of the balam tree as good wood! " I still think about the words of Shaykhul Hadith and find a similarity between reality and the poetry of this Urdu poet -" In our time, in our time , in our time"No one flies away ;Someone is chasing the caravan."Oh, the wretchedness of the Guba. "( It seems unlikely that we will see dust flying in our next era ;Because when the caravan leaves a place , the dung of their horses or camels is always found lying around.)The sound of pain constantly resonates in the depths of our minds - our crowns are being lost. Like the proverb of the ages, the treasures of knowledge and deeds are being buried in earthen pots. The lights are going out , we need a lot of light to prevent the darkness behind.We are convinced that Mufti -e-Zaman Allama Dubagi (may Allah have mercy on him) will live on in the greatness of his deeds. We pray that Allah accepts the good deeds of his life and makes him a resident of the highest paradise. May we be enlightened by his teachings of sacrifice , patience , diligence and sense of responsibility.To end with a few lines of poetry Want:-I am talking about a dedicated wise man ,Whose cries mingled with the melody of the morning breeze every day.The stars of the night are falling ,Angels come and go through the open doors of heaven ;The dew of tears speaks of the prostration of a saintly man in the musalla ;In stillness, all the silent moments become resonant -Rabbana! Rabbana!The suns of the ages are setting before our eyes!Eyes searching the dawn sky with the hope of light, spreading light in the evening mourning procession - when has the caravan left?The glimmers of light are like distant stars to us.
